Environmental

We’re committed to the very highest levels stewardship of our land and fully believe that profitable farming and healthy environmental diversity can coexist for everyone's long-term benefit.

We have planted over 12 kilometres of hedging on the farm and continue to plant more and more trees and hedges to improve the biodiversity.  With Barn owls, Lapwing, Curlew, Tree Sparrows and Grey Partridge amongst some of our birds we are continually looking at ways in which to farm in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way.

We have over 20 acres or floristically enhanced field margins to encourage the pollinators.  With those and all the flowering crops, especially the red clover, our farm has become a haven for visiting bees. We have a reed bed filtration system on the farm and areas dedicated to tree planting specifically to create a wildlife haven.

We are also fortunate enough to have red squirrels and are keen to keep them.  (Can you insert a video clip here?)
